How it all get started?
Initially started with the big hearts of Mr. Dharmanda Upreti, his wife Sita Devi Upreti, daughter Sarswati Chitrakar and Son in Law Mr. Anjo Chitrakar; Sita Dharma Basic School was established at Tadi 06 Nuwakot the then Mandap 06. It was vital to establish such school in this area with core propose of providing free education for the needful. All this pure art of heart was succeeded with the big support and welcome from the native community. We would also like to express our gratitude to Mr. Tikadevi Mainali Upreti, Mr. Binod Kumar Upreti as well as Mr. Sitalal Tamang, Mr. Dilli Bahadur tamang, Mr. Kul Prasad Khanal, Mr. Hari Prasad Khanal, Mr. Shiva Prasad Khanal, Mr. Som Prasad Khanal, Mr. Ram Sharan Khanal, Mr. Badri Prasad Khanal, Mr. Thakur Khanal, Mr. Dilliman Tamang, Mr. Surya Bahadur Khanal and all those pure hearts whose support were indeed the most needed.
Back to those days, the then Narjamanpad’s every ward has at least a school expect ward no. 6 Charmot. This ward was lacking basic school education and the whole community here was backwarded. People who were able to invest in education were shifting to rural areas but majority of indigenous, dalit and marginalized were not able. There were lacking basic food, shelter and of course education. Taking this issue into concern the initiation taken by Mr. Dharmananda Upreti and his wife Mrs. Sita Upreti was hence supported by other helping hands in building this school, furniture and all other infrastructures and brought into present situation. We were able to bring the then Bachhaladevi Child Development Center (a government initiative) under our school building to provide all necessary services to the child from one roof. Gradually under upgrading, we were licensed to run Grade 1. And hence under the supervision of Mr. Dharmanda Upreti, Mrs. Sitadevi Upreti, Mr. Anoj Chitrakar and Mrs. Sarswati Chitkarak the first Management Committee was formed in 2007;

The main role of the management committee was to keep upgrading the grades each year, apply for grants and government support to run the school but, neither the government nor any one supported the school financially and logistic. So, the school is solely running under the financial support from Dharmanda’s Family. Under the completion of tenure of first Management committee the second was formed under the Chairmanship of Mr. Surya bahadur Tamang and Secretary Mr. Bhim Bahadur Tamang. Running smoothly under the financial support of forming members and Mr. Dharmananda’s family the school has now gone under the Chairmanship of Mr. Dharmanda Upreti since 2016 Nov 22. A stating committee was formed with the presence of all guardians, local natives at the annual function;

The school is now currently running under the leadership of Mrs. Sarswati chitrakar and hence looking for support to upgrade the school infrastructures, adding more class rooms, ICT labs, science labs, library, books and other sports.
